Michael Merlin over ecoms.com at has had another brainwave. The Australian Real Estate Search Engine searches multiple Australian Real Estate websites simultaneously, in an automated fashion.
Michael is looking for volunteers to beta test the application shortly.
I look forward to using it.
Now if real estate agents would keep their listing information up-to-date it would be wonderful. Agencies have gotten better. I remember a few years ago when most internet listings were ten months out of date.

If any other Australian web site for sale of real estate by owner can prove that they are even close to our Internet ranking, Internet traffic or number of visitors to web site, they will place your ad for FREE on our web site.
That is one nasty piece of lying spam. I’ve edited the URL to point elsewhere so you wont get the benefits.
In case someone else is looking for info on this John Beck stuff, the url he was pointing to contained no for sale by owner information. It seemed to be selling an information course.
As for his specific claims, the page rank of his site was 4 and this page has PR of 3. There are lots of better Australian real estate sites out there.
As for proving internet traffic or number of visitors I say “show me yours first”. Of course he’ll have to prove it.
Are they only interested in Australian ones?
I only got the general gist of the search engine posts and thread above but if it helps I own a real estate sales website with good rankings and lots of traffic.
We help people sell without commission even though I am a Licensed agent.
I would be delighted to do some cross promotion with this blog as it seems to have a similar theme to our own. I would also be prepared to display our current stats unlike the earlier poster

Real estate search engine is a great tool to make decisions about buying / selling houses. but It is important to Realtors to keep their website up-to-date, then search engine will be a useful tool.
As the owner of a real estate website I would like to hear from any coders or anyone who knows about sources or projects similar to the ecoms one.
I hadn’t noticed before that the original post was some time ago so if anyone has updated info I would love to hear about it.
